This tow bar is manufactured from high-quality materials and has undergone demanding stress tests and strength and rust resistance evaluations. The tow bar conforms to the R1 55R-01 2283 homologation and to all Czech and international standards. A simple automatic mechanism makes it possible to unfold the tow bar into its working position and then fold it back under the bumper when not in use. Retrofitting the tow bar places increased demands on the car’s cooling system. That‘s why it‘s necessary to have certain parts of the cooling system replaced by the ŠKODA AUTO / B2B Service centre, using the information provided by the ŠKODA service technician.

For installation, further parts need to be ordered from ŠKODA Genuine Parts catalogue (these will depend on your engine version – identify by using the PR number):
Clip with Bowden cable holder (1 pc) 3V0 803 340 (2.0 TSI/206 kW only).
For cars which are not already set up for tow bar installation, you will also need: Wiring set 3V0 055 204C.

Caution for SUPERB iV:
Due to the specific engineering features of cars equipped with high-voltage batteries, we recommend you only use genuine ŠKODA tow bars, because ŠKODA AUTO a.s. can guarantee their safety, reliability and compatibility with these cars.
Wrongly installed or incorrect tow bars can, in the event of an accident, damage the high-voltage components of the car, worsening the consequences of the accident or even causing fatal injury.
We recommend having all the installation work done by ŠKODA authorized service partners.

Note:
This part is not compatible with electroinstallation of cars manufactured in Russia (Kaluga, Nizhny Novgorod).
This part is not designated for vehicles imported to Australia.

In the case of cars without tow bar preparation, the tow bar cannot be retrofitted to SUPERB and SUPERB facelift vehicles with the following engine options:

  • 2,0/110 kW TDI MQ 4x4 – from the beginning of production
  • 2,0/140 kW TDI DQ 4x4 – from the beginning of production
  • 2,0/162 kW TSI – from CW 48/2018
  • 2,0/200 kW TSI – from CW 48/2018
  • 2,0/206 kW TSI – from CW 48/2018.

In case of the SUPERB facelift, the retrofit is also not available for:

  • 2,0/147 kW TDI DQ 4x4 – from the beginning of production
  • 2,0/140 kW TSI – from the beginning of production.

For SUPERB iV manufactured from CW 08/2020 until CW 48/2020 retrofitting the tow bar is not possible.
