No driver can go without reversing, yet it is the manoeuvre that creates the most anxiety - and it’s often the cause of minor accidents and damage.
The solution is the reversing camera from Škoda Genuine Accessories. It gives you a clear view of the situation behind the car. Not only can you accurately judge your distance from obstacles, but you can also see what would otherwise be hidden from you.
The reversing camera is an extension to the rear parking sensors and allows the driver to watch the situation behind the car on the infotainment screen.
This set is identical to the factory-fitted equipment and offers the same level of functionality and comfort, as well as being identical in appearance, which is helped by the fact that the reversing camera is integrated into the fifth door handle.
The camera is fitted with a washer. Cleaning the camera lens occurs when the rear windscreen washer is activated. The car has to be equipped with an infotainment system for the camera to be fitted.
Due to the difficulty of installation and subsequent activation of the parking camera, the installation needs to be completed by Škoda Auto authorized service partners. A detailed description of the parking camera operation and schematic of the viewed area can be found in the car’s Owner’s Manual.

The camera is automatically activated when the vehicle is shifted into reverse gear. The camera simultaneously displays the area behind the vehicle and guide lines corresponding to the width of the vehicle. The camera features a parking assistant, which shows the driver a parking space of the required size behind the vehicle and then provides them with parking assistance. This assistance is cancelled by the system if the steering wheel is not turned in the appropriate direction for a long period of time. The parking manoeuvre must be started again.
