Child seat base BABY-SAFE i-SIZE

The key to transporting children safely is to have high-quality, properly mounted car seats. The child seat base BABY-SAFE i-SIZE allows for easy installation, removal and carrying of child seats. It is also equipped with a supportive leg that rests on the car’s floor and increases the seat’s stability. The base itself is snap-fastened to the ISOFIX mounts in the seat. When fitting the base, it’s necessary to make sure that the supportive leg touches the floor but doesn’t lift the base away from the seat.

Child seat BABY-SAFE2 i-SIZE can only be fitted to the child seat base BABY-SAFE i-SIZE facing rearwards and the base can be placed either on the outer rear seats, or on the passenger seat if it is equipped with ISOFIX mounting hooks between the seat and backrest. The child is secured by the child seat’s five-point safety harness, which is height-adjustable to accommodate the child’s growth. The car seat can be fixed in three positions – sitting, resting and lying. The child seat can be dismounted at any time and used to carry the child. If the child seat is placed on the passenger seat, it’s always necessary to move the passenger seat as far back and up as possible. The passenger airbag must be deactivated!

Each type of child safety seat from the Škoda Genuine Accessories passes through a series of rigorous tests, including EuroNCAP crash tests and tests for flame resistance, content of harmful substances, wear resistance, and the quality of the coating. Successful completion of these tests is necessary in order to meet European safety certification ECE R 44/04 requirements for children’s safety devices.
