The tow bar is another of the practical extras from the Škoda Genuine Accessories range that increase the utility of the vehicle. Manufactured from high-quality materials, it has undergone rigorous testing for strength and resistance to corrosion, as well as load tests. The tow bar complies with homologation E8 55R-01/11992 and all Czech and international regulations. Thanks to the simple, automatic mechanism for fitting and removing the ball hitch, no tools are needed – meaning that it is much simpler to meet the legal requirements for removing the ball hitch when the trailer is uncoupled. When you are driving abroad, the country-specific legal regulations must be followed at all times if you have not attached a trailer to the tow bar fitted to your car. Retrofitting the tow bar places increased demands on the car’s cooling system. That‘s why it‘s necessary to have certain parts of the cooling system replaced by the Škoda Auto / B2B Service centre, using the information provided by the Škoda service technician.

The electrical installation kit is not part of the set and must be ordered according to the equipment:

for cars with preparation 6VE 055 202B (includes control unit 5H0 907 383C).
for cars without preparation 6VE 055 202B + 6VE 055 204.

For fitting, the following items must also be ordered from the Škoda Genuine Components catalogue: for vehicles not equipped with a control unit for the shock absorbers (PR-5H0), must be ordered separately: 654971362 cover for securing the control unit. Read less

Warning: This tow bar set is dedicated for the basic Škoda Fabia IV model, with either left- or right-hand drive, with and without tow bar preparation.
Temporary restrictions: Due to temporary restrictions, the mentioned product cannot be installed in some vehicles manufactured from 29.1.2024. The validity of restrictions on a specific vehicle can be checked at any authorized Škoda partner, based on the vehicle's VIN code. Following information will be removed from the product page until installing the product is available again.
Restritions: Not suitable for Škoda Fabia IV Monte Carlo and for cars exported to Australia. It cannot be retrofitted to cars manufactured by CW 05/2024.
