Reversing is a manoeuvre that’s unavoidable in everyday life. Thankfully, there’s a solution. It’s a reversing camera from Škoda Genuine Accessories. It will help you to clearly see what’s happening behind the car, so you never miss anything and will always know how much space you have in front of an obstacle.
The reversing camera transmits the view of the situation behind the car to the infotainment’s screen, creating an extension of the information that parking sensors offer to the driver. This genuine set matches the camera that’s fitted as an factory option, including full functionality and comfort, as well as factory-correct appearance, helped by the fact that the camera is integrated into the fifth door handle.
The camera is fitted with a washer. The camera lens is cleaned when the rear windscreen washer is activated. The car has to be equipped with infotainment for the camera to be fitted.
Considering the difficulty of the installation and subsequent activation of the parking camera (the 5-digit activation code can be found in the ETKA parts catalogue), the installation needs to be completed by Škoda Auto authorized service partners. - The camera is automatically activated when the vehicle is shifted into reverse gear. The camera simultaneously displays the area behind the vehicle and guide lines corresponding to the width of the vehicle. The camera features a parking assistant, which shows the driver a parking space of the required size behind the vehicle and then provides them with parking assistance. This assistance is automatically cancelled if the steering wheel is not turned in the appropriate direction for a long period of time. The parking manoeuvre must then be started again.
