The recorded image is compared with known road signs and navigation data stored in the system’s memory. The alert is displayed as a pictogram on the multifunction display or on the navigation system screen. To ensure that the system continues to work properly over time, the software needs to be updated.
Due to the need to follow a specified procedure, the software update must be carried out by an authorised service partner. Incorrect handling may result in the permanent damage of the vehicle.
