The tow bar wouldn’t be complete without the necessary wiring harness, which connects the car’s electrical system with the trailer. The electric components have to be ordered under following number: 5JB 055 316 (with 13-pin socket; for cars without tow bar preparation, for LHD) for RAPID. Using this tow bar electric installation kit does not deactivate the parking assist system (if equipped) when the reverse gear is engaged and the trailer is coupled.
